Hello Everyone!

My name is Parker McMillan. I'm a student at Highlands High School located in a town in Pennsylvania called Natrona Heights. I love music and I play the Ukulele. Ever since I was a child I have been travelling to different states, being exposed to different cultures as well as how the states geography differ. As a student, I enjoy school. My favorite class is Spanish because I love the Spanish language.

I want to study abroad because I want to get out of my comfort zone, and I would love to visit a different country. Because I started travelling at a young age I have been shown what travelling domestically is like, and now I want to travel internationally. Because I have a love for Spanish, I decided that I wanted to study abroad to a Spanish-speaking country to help me understand Spanish better and experience a completely different culture.

After travelling to Argentina and staying there for a month, I expect to improve my Spanish fluency and I want to speak more like a native speaker. After travelling to Argentina I also expect to feel comfortable travelling internationally, and  I want to gain more ability to adapt to a different culture.

If you do decide to contribute, I will pay the favor back by multiple ways. I will teach people in the United States what it's like to live in a different country and I will volunteer much of my time to help other AFS students who would like to study abroad.

Reasons why I need help to fundraise for this trip is because the cost for the trip is a bit overwhelming and it will help lessen the financial burden.

Already I have done a couple things to fulfill my goal. I have sold fruit that is apart of the schools fruit sale. I have also made this blog. I will also be contacting multiple fairgrounds in the spring time to help pick up trash.

Muchisímo gracias (thank you so much) for reading this! Please share this blog by copying the website url and sending it, it would be greatly appreciated. There will be frequent updates about my fundraisers, and my journey to become an AFS student, so feel free to come back to visit.
